Security Council Votes on Date of Election to Fill International Court of Justice Vacancy

Security Council unanimously adopts Resolution 2784 (2025) on International Court of Justice (ICJ) election date. The Council decided that the election to fill the vacancy after the resignation of Judge Abdulqawi Ahmed Yusuf, shall take place on 12 November 2025 at a meeting of the Security Council and at a meeting of the General Assembly at its eightieth session.
